(a) Every corporation shall maintain a registered office in the Commonwealth which may be located in its same place of business or in any other place. For the purposes of this subtitle, the registered office shall be that registered with the Department of State where the registered agent of the corporation is.\n(b) Whenever the terms 'main office' or 'main place of business' are used in the certificate of incorporation, or in any other corporate document or bylaw, such term so used shall be deemed to mean and refer to, unless otherwise stated, the designated office required by this section to be registered with the Department of State, and it shall not be necessary for a corporation to amend its certificate of incorporation and any other document to comply with the requirements of this section.\nHistory —Dec. 16, 2009, No. 164, § 3.01.
