If as part of repairing the vehicle an airbag must be installed, removed or replace, the owner or person in charge of the repair shop shall include the following information in the register mentioned in § 2073 of this title:\n(a) The place of origin of the airbag;\n(b) the number of the motor and the license plate of the vehicle, if the airbag was extracted for another vehicle;\n(c) the reason for installing the airbag;\n(d) the length of coverage of the warranty, if any\n(e) date on which the airbag was removed and installed, and\n(f) identification numbers of the airbags removed and installed.\nIf the airbag was extracted from another vehicle, an authorization from the owner of the vehicle from which the airbag was extracted must be included.\nHistory —Nov. 7, 1999, No. 325, § 5, eff. 60 days after Nov. 7, 1999.
