The Secretary is hereby authorized and empowered to designate any highway or part thereof as, or convert same to, a highway of limited or controlled accesses. As much, he may refuse the construction of direct accesses to and from any highway so converted and shall allow accesses only in places expressly designated for the purpose. He shall prescribe the requirements to establish accesses to the points designated and shall adopt the necessary measures to preserve the usefulness, integrity and use of the highways of controlled accesses.\nHistory —May 30, 1973, No. 54, p. 135, § 2-05, eff. 30 days after May 30, 1973.
