Any person who illegally appropriates without violence or intimidation a motor vehicle part belonging to another person shall incur a misdemeanor if the value of the motor vehicle part does not amount to five hundred dollars ($500). If it amounts to or exceeds this value, he/she shall incur a fourth degree felony.
