Any person who voluntarily erases, mutilates, overlays, alters, destroys, removes, detaches or otherwise modifies the motor or serial number or any other identification number of a motor vehicle or part printed by the manufacturer or person designated by the Secretary of Transportation and Public Works shall incur a fourth degree felony.\nHistory —Aug. 5, 1987, No. 8, p. 612, § 20; Sept. 14, 2004, No. 282, § 5.
