The Secretary shall issue certificates of title for every motor vehicle, trailer or semi-trailer in Puerto Rico and shall keep a registry of all certificates issued. In addition he/she shall organize and keep any indexes or registries that will facilitate the classification of information on motor vehicles, trailers or semi-trailers, according to the provisions of this chapter, of the fiscal laws, or of §§ 1001 et seq. of Title 27, known as the 'Puerto Rico Public Service Act'.\nHistory —Jan. 7, 2000, No. 22, § 2.02; June 3, 2004, No. 132, § 2; Aug. 19, 2005, No. 57, § 2.
