Any driver involved in an accident resulting in damage to property whose owner or caretaker is not present at the scene of the accident shall try to locate said owner or caretaker and notify the them of the accident, identifying him/herself and showing said owner or caretaker the license authorizing him/her to drive. If said driver is unable to locate the owner or caretaker of the property damaged in the accident, he/she shall leave in a conspicuous place thereupon, his/her name and address and shall, without unnecessary delay, report the accident to the nearest police station.\nHistory —Jan. 7, 2000, No. 22, § 4.04, eff. 1 year after Jan. 7, 2000.
