Any driver of a motor vehicle involved in an accident not investigated by the Police at the place where it occurred which has resulted in injury to another person or damages to the property of another, shall immediately and through the fastest possible means, report the accident to the nearest Police station, within a term not to exceed four (4) hours.\nWhen the driver of a vehicle is him/herself physically unable to make the report immediately, as required in this section, and there is another occupant in the vehicle at the time of the accident who can do so, said occupant shall give or cause to be given the information which the driver failed to provide.\nHistory —Jan. 7, 2000, No. 22, § 4.06, eff. 1 year after Jan. 7, 2000.
