Any law enforcement officer on duty and not in pursuit of a crime suspect shall be duty bound to stop at the scene of a traffic accident until another law enforcement office appears or until he/she has taken all necessary data to allow for the investigation of the accident.\nAny member of the Police or the Municipal Police who violates this section shall incur a misdemeanor and if convicted, shall be punished with a fine of one hundred dollars ($100), without prejudice to any administrative sanctions that may be imposed.\nHistory —Jan. 7, 2000, No. 22, § 4.13, eff. 1 year after Jan. 7, 2000.
