The Secretary shall not issue, renew or transfer the registration, license or license plate of any motor vehicle engaged in the transportation of passengers or freight for pay, or substitute the same without an order or authorization from the Commission.\nThe Commission shall authorize the issue and renewal of the permits and license plates of all public carriers authorized to operate as such, as provided through regulations.\nHistory —Jan. 7, 2000, No. 22, § 16.01, eff. 1 year after Jan. 7, 2000.
