Any person who voluntarily disobeys, hinders or obstructs the Commission or any of its authorized agents in the discharge of their duties, obstructs the holding of a hearing, or violates any of the provisions of this chapter or of the regulations adopted pursuant thereto, shall incur in a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine which shall not exceed five hundred dollars ($500) or by imprisonment in jail for a term not to exceed six (6) months or by both penalties in the discretion of the court.
