(a) March 8 of each year shall be observed as the 'International Women’s Day' throughout the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.\nThe Governor of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, through a proclamation to such effect, shall annually exhort the people of Puerto Rico to express their admiration of all women in Puerto Rico.\n(b) In coordination with the pertinent government agencies and non-government entities, the Women’s Advocate Office is hereby directed to broadcast an awareness of the meaning of said day through the celebration of special activities that render public recognition to the great contributions of Puerto Rican women to the life of our people.\nHistory —June 2, 1976, No. 102, p. 300, §§ 1, 2; Dec. 18, 1997, No. 165, § 1; Aug. 10, 2002, No. 166, §§ 1, 2.
