(a) The second Sunday of August of each year is hereby designated as the 'Day of the Child' in Puerto Rico.\n(b) The Governor of Puerto Rico, by proclamation, shall exhort all the people of Puerto Rico to carry out on that day activities which stress the importance of the child as a being, having innate dignity and worth.\n(c) The Department of the Family, the Department of Education, and the Advisory Board for the Protection and Strengthening of the Family shall hereby take charge of coordinating with civic, community, private and multidisciplinary professional organizations of the country, to announce the significance and the scope of this day through the celebration of all special public and necessary adequate activities to attain citizenry awareness to eradicate the problem of violence and abuse against of [sic] our children.
