(a) National Guard Week is hereby declared to be held in the month of September of each year. The Governor shall designate the specific week during which the corresponding activities will be held, through a proclamation to such effects.\n(b) In addition to his proclamation, the Governor of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico shall exhort all of the Puerto Rican people each year, to carry out activities during that week, leading to the enhancing of the importance of the work carried out by the members of the National Guard, in fair recognition and homage to their valuable contribution to the country.\nHistory —Aug. 10, 1988, No. 162, p. 699, §§ 1, 2.
