(a) To provide that the 'Government of Puerto Rico Pensioner’s Week' shall be celebrated during the second week of the month of October of each year, throughout the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.\n(b) The Governor, through a proclamation, shall annually exhort all the Puerto Rican people to express their deepest gratitude and render a well-deserved tribute to these persons in fair recognition of their praiseworthy work and their valuable contribution to the economic, social and cultural development of Puerto Rico.\nHistory —Aug. 12, 1996, No. 130, §§ 1, 2.
