(a) The month of April of each year is hereby declared to be 'Autism Awareness Month'.\n(b) The 2nd day of April is hereby designated as 'World Autism Awareness Day'.\n(c) The Governor, through a proclamation published in the news media, shall exhort the Puerto Rican community to carry out activities that will benefit the autistic population, to develop means to propitiate the collective awareness of this condition, and to recognize the importance, dignity, and self esteem of autistic persons in Puerto Rico.\nHistory —May 18, 2000, No. 79, §§ 1–3; May 28, 2009, No. 20, §§ 1, 2.
