(a) The second week of May of each year is hereby declared as the 'Osteoporosis Prevention and Control Week in Puerto Rico'. The Governor of Puerto Rico, through a proclamation made at least (10) days before May 1st, shall remind the Puerto Rican people about the importance of the activities being carried out.\n(b) During said week, the Secretary of Health, in coordination with the different agencies and instrumentalities of the Government and community entities as well, shall develop activities focused on the prevention and control of osteoporosis.\n(c) Pursuant to subsection (b) of this section, private entities, organizations and groups, businesses and interested persons may collaborate in carrying the message of prevention and control of osteoporosis. They shall give importance for the necessary information on how to prevent, aid and cooperate in the control of the osteoporosis will reach all citizens.\nHistory —June 22, 2000, No. 109, §§ 1—3.
