(a) To declare April of each year as 'Childhood and Child Abuse Prevention Month'.\n(b) Each year, at least ten (10) days in advance of April 1, the Governor of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, by means of a proclamation, shall exhort the people of Puerto Rico and direct the agencies and entities in charge of the prevention, identification, management and treatment of child abuse cases, among which are the Department of Justice, the Department of the Family, the Puerto Rico Police, the Department Health and the Department of Education, to organize and sponsor activities that are appropriate for the celebration of 'Childhood and Child Abuse Prevention Month'.\n(c) A copy of the annual proclamation shall be distributed to the local news media for its diffusion.\nHistory —Aug. 28, 2003, No. 211, §§ 1—3.
