(a) It is hereby provided that the third Saturday of the month of September of each year shall be observed and celebrated in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico as 'National Beach Cleanup Day'.\n(b) The Governor of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico shall comply with the purposes of this section and by means of proclamation to said effects shall annually exhort the Puerto Rican people to hold activities on such day that foster the celebration and raise awareness among the citizens regarding the purpose and importance of the cleanup work performed on such a day.\n(c) The Department of State of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico shall be responsible for the coordination of the organization and celebration of the official activities pursuant to this section.\nHistory —Dec. 29, 2003, No. 329, §§ 1—3.
