(a) The second week of the month of September of each year is hereby declared as 'Puerto Rico Sociopenal Service Technicians Week', in recognition of the valuable contribution of such dedicated public servants in the social project of correctional rehabilitation in Puerto Rico.\n(b) Every year, at least ten days in advance of September 1st, the Governor, by means of proclamation, shall exhort the People of Puerto Rico to commemorate the second week of the month of September as 'Puerto Rico Sociopenal Service Technicians Week', as well as direct the agencies concerned to organize and sponsor appropriate activities for this celebration.\nHistory —Aug. 8, 2006, No. 149, §§ 1, 2.
