(a) The first week of November of each year is hereby declared as 'Puerto Rican Baseball Week', and the Friday of said week is hereby designated as 'Puerto Rican Major League Baseball Player Day'.\n(b) The Governor of Puerto Rico, through a proclamation, shall each year urge the Puerto Rican people to render tribute of appreciation and admiration to all who participate in the sport of baseball, especially former and present Puerto Rican Major League Baseball players.\n(c) The Secretary of Sports and Recreation shall recommend and schedule public events and promote the holding of other activities directed toward the celebration of 'Puerto Rican Baseball Week' and 'Puerto Rican Major League Baseball Player Day', as well as recognize other baseball participants and promoters.\nHistory —May 4, 2007, No. 40, §§ 1–3.
