(a) August 29 of each year is hereby designated as 'Gymnastics Day', in order to encourage the development and practice of gymnastics in Puerto Rico as a means to promote the health and wellbeing of all.\n(b) As part of the public policy of the Government of Puerto Rico to promote preventive healthcare, the Governor, through proclamation, as well as the Sports and Recreation Department, shall encourage the People of Puerto Rico to participate in 'Gymnastics Day' activities to learn about the benefits of practicing gymnastics and the ways in which it can help improve physical fitness and, therefore, health.\n(c) The Puerto Rico Gymnastics Federation is hereby authorized to organize and coordinate activities in connection with the provisions of this section with entities or groups such as schools, universities, and sports centers, among others.\nHistory —Dec. 30, 2010, No. 251, §§ 1–3.
