(a) The third Friday of April of each year is hereby designated as 'Global Youth Service Day' in Puerto Rico in order to bring together all youth groups, institutions, and organizations existing in the Island to participate in activities common to them, thereby strengthening youth volunteer work.\n(b) The Office of Youth Affairs shall have the responsibility to organize and sponsor the activities related to 'Global Youth Service Day'. Likewise, the participation of the citizenry and private entities in these activities shall be promoted.\n(c) The Governor of Puerto Rico shall issue a proclamation to such effect.\nHistory —Feb. 18, 2011, No. 17, §§ 1–3.
