(a) February of each year is hereby declared as the Pediatricians month in Puerto Rico, and the third Sunday of February of each year as the Pediatricians Day.\n(b) Through a proclamation, the Governor of Puerto Rico shall encourage the People of Puerto Rico to observe 'Pediatricians Day' and 'Pediatricians Month,' as well as to support the activities held to observe such events.\n(c) The Secretary of the Department of Health is hereby authorized to request the cooperation of all public and private institutions, as well as of any other institution interested in this event, and shall have the duty of distributing information about the significance of this event.\n(d) Every year, the Department of State shall send a copy of the proclamation issued by the Governor to the communications media for its corresponding distribution and broadcast.\nHistory —Sept. 29, 2012, No. 287, §§ 1–4.
