Any violation of the provisions of §§ 1 et seq. of this title or of the provisions contained in the rules and regulations promulgated thereunder, or the orders and resolutions issued by the Commissioner, for which no penalty is provided therein, shall constitute a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500) or by imprisonment that shall not exceed six (6) months, or both penalties at the discretion of the court.
