The officials responsible for the payment of the salaries of officials and employees of the commonwealth government and municipal governments of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico shall deduct from the salaries of such officials and employees who have so requested from the head of the department or dependency where they work, the corresponding amount for the payment of the shares acquired and payment of the loans and interest thereon owing by them to such credit union.
