Savings and credit unions not insured by a federal banking agency, but that employ mortgage loan originators shall register said originators with the nationwide mortgage licensing system and registry, as provided in Section 1507 (a)(2) of Title V of Public Law 110-289, known as the 'Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008' or 'S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008.'With respect to its application to the savings and credit unions, and the businesses and operations thereof, any provisions of this chapter shall be implemented by COSSEC to the extent applicable.
