The approval of this chapter shall not affect or impair the liabilities incurred by the Commonwealth Election Commission with any agency or private entity by virtue of Act No. 4 of December 20, 1977, as amended, known as the 'Election Law of Puerto Rico', which shall be assumed by the Election Comptroller as a result of this transfer.Likewise, this chapter shall not invalidate any contracts duly executed by the Commonwealth Election Commission, if any, that are in effect as of the date of the approval of this act and by virtue of which services are rendered to the Election Auditor, if any, which shall continue in effect until their termination date, insofar as the terms thereof are not inconsistent with the provisions of this chapter or except they are cancelled, if so provided by the contract in question.
