Political parties, bona fide citizen groups, and political action committees may receive contributions and incur expenditures to campaign for this referendum. The provisions of the Puerto Rico Political Campaign Financing Oversight Act shall be applicable to the expenditures incurred and contributions received by political parties, bona fide citizen groups, and political action committees.However, the funds raised for this referendum by the political parties shall not be counted towards the matching fund established in §§ 629-629n of this title, known as the 'Puerto Rico Political Campaign Financing Oversight Act'. The funds raised by the political parties for this referendum shall be deposited in a separate account in which only said funds shall be deposited, and shall be exclusively used for expenditures related to the campaign for this referendum.For purposes of the aggregate established in § 625b of this title2, this referendum shall be considered a special election.
