Political parties may participate in referendums, consultations, or plebiscites provided that their central governing bodies notify the Commission of their intention within thirty (30) days following the effective date of the special law authorizing the plebiscite, consultation, or referendum in question.\nLikewise, any citizen group duly certified by the Commission that opts to participate in a referendum, consultation, or plebiscite shall notify such intention within thirty (30) days following the effective date of the special law.\nHistory —June 1, 2011, No. 78, § 11.007.
