Any person who illegally breaks into a facility, building, or structure in which material belonging to political parties, aspirants, candidates, independent candidates, campaign committees, or political action committees is kept, with the intention to find out about the contents of said material or information, shall be guilty of a fourth-degree felony and, upon conviction, be punished by imprisonment pursuant to the provisions of §§ 4644 and 4694 of Title 33, or be imposed a fine of not less than one thousand dollars ($1,000) nor more than three thousand dollars ($3,000), or both penalties, at the discretion of the court.\nHistory —June 1, 2011, No. 78, § 12.013.
