Any employer or representative thereof who refuses to allow a worker or employee to register or vote when the latter is qualified shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, be punished by imprisonment for a term not to exceed six (6) months or a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500), or both penalties, at the discretion of the court.\nHistory —June 1, 2011, No. 78, § 12.019.
