Any person who willfully and knowingly tears off or defaces any election-related document or propaganda of candidates or political parties displayed in public places shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, be punished by imprisonment for a term not to exceed six (6) months or by a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500), or both penalties, at the discretion of the court.\nHistory —June 1, 2011, No. 78, § 12.020; Dec. 22, 2014, No. 239, § 49.
