The applicant or principal registrant may request the voluntary withdrawal of the application submitted or of the registration of a mark. The Secretary shall make the corresponding note on the record of the Department of State and issue a voluntary cancellation certificate to the applicant.The principal registrant may amend part of his/her registration; provided that such amendment shall not substantially alter the mark. The Secretary shall make the corresponding note on the record of the Department of State and on the mark registration certificate.
