The Department of Consumer Affairs is hereby empowered to adopt the necessary regulations to enforce the terms of this chapter, and to such purposes, it shall approve regulations within one hundred and twenty (120) days [following] the approval of this act. However, the food industry is hereby granted a term of six (6) months, [following] the approval of the regulations, to eliminate the use of trans fats from the preparation of food.
