Sale and resale contracts executed at fairs may be for cash or on time; the former must be complied with on the same day of their execution, or, at the utmost, within the following twenty-four hours.\nAfter this time has elapsed without either of the contracting parties having demanded its compliance, they shall be considered null, and the deposits or earnest money which may have been delivered shall be forfeited to the person who received the same.\nHistory —Commerce Code, 1932, § 57.
