In addition to the obligations common to all commercial agents as said obligations are enumerated in § 1183 of this title, commercial brokers shall be bound:\n(1) To answer at law for the authenticity of the signature of the last assignor in transactions involving bills of exchange or other endorsable securities.\n(2) To take part in and certify contracts of purchase and sale, and to take part in and certify the delivery of the securities and payment therefor, provided the interested parties so demand.\n(3) To get from the assignor and deliver to the assignee such endorsable bills of exchange or securities as may have been negotiated through him.\n(4) To collect from the assignee and deliver to the assignor the value of such bills of exchange or endorsable securities as may have been negotiated.\nHistory —Commerce Code, 1932, § 73.
