The members of general copartnerships which are not engaged in any special branch of commerce cannot make transactions for their own account without the previous consent of the copartnership, which cannot refuse it without proving that it will suffer thereby manifest and pecuniary damage.\nPartners who violate this provision shall contribute to the common funds the profit they may derive from these transactions and shall individually suffer the losses should there be any.\nHistory —Commerce Code, 1932, § 113.
