Any natural or juridical person, who intentionally violates the provisions of this chapter, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished with a fine not greater than five hundred dollars ($500) or imprisonment for a term that shall not exceed six (6) months, or both penalties, at the discretion of the court.\nThe Commissioner shall also be able to impose administrative fines, not to exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000) for each violation of a provision of the norms and regulations promulgated by virtue thereof.\nHistory —Aug. 13, 1994, No. 76, § 28, eff. 60 days after Aug. 13, 1994.
