Any violation of the provisions of this chapter shall be punishable by the imposition of an administrative fine, for up to a maximum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) per infraction, by the Department of Consumer Affairs, pursuant to the provisions of the organic act of said Department. The amounts of money collected on account of said fines shall be covered into the funds of the Department of Consumer Affairs, in order to strengthen the available resources of the Department to protect the consumer.\nHistory —Aug. 31, 2000, No. 272, § 5.
