Except for the provisions in this section, this chapter preempts any law of the Government of Puerto Rico that provides for civil remedies for misappropriation of a trade secret.\nThis chapter does not affect:\n(a) Contractual remedies, whether or not based on the misappropriation of a trade secret.\n(b) Other civil remedies not based on the misappropriation of a trade secret.\n(c) Criminal actions, whether or not based on the misappropriation of a trade secret.\nHistory —June 3, 2011, No. 80, § 12.
