(a) DACO is hereby empowered to impose sanctions and administrative fines for violations of this chapter and the orders, regulations, and rules issued and approved by DACO pursuant to this chapter. Administrative fines shall not be less than five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) or more than twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) for each violation, being it understood that each day the violation persists shall be considered a separate violation.\n(b) The sanctions imposed as a result of violations for spills or improper storage of gasoline, regardless of whether the same contains MTBE or not, shall correspond to EQB.\n(c) Any financial benefit derived by any natural or juridical person from a violation of § 4172 of this title, shall be withheld by DACO and deposited in a special account created for such purposes by DACO.\nHistory —Jan. 11, 2012, No. 16, § 4, eff. 90 days after Jan. 11, 2012.
