No applications for tax exemption under §§ 10024 et seq. of this title shall be received after the effective date of this act; however, the decrees granted thereunder may be amended pursuant to its provisions. Applications filed under said sections which have not been granted before the effective date of this act may be processed under this chapter at the option of the applicant.
