No new applications for exemption decrees under §§ 10101 et seq. of this title, shall be received after the date of effectiveness of this act. The preceding notwithstanding, the decrees granted thereunder or under similar preceding laws may be amended pursuant to their respective provisions. The new applications for decrees filed under said sections which have not been granted before the date of effectiveness of this act may be processed, at the option of the applicant, under the present chapter.
