When the arrest is made by an officer under the authority of a warrant, or without a warrant, for a felony committed in his presence, if after informing the person to be arrested of the intention to make the arrest, said person flees or forcibly resists, the officer may use all the means necessary to effect the arrest.To make an arrest under any other circumstances, any officer or private person may use all necessary means, except that he shall not inflict grave bodily injury.
