Every violation of the provisions of §§ 1974-1977 of this title shall constitute a misdemeanor, and the person accused, once convicted, shall be punished by a maximum fine of one hundred (100) dollars or by one day in jail for each dollar he fails to pay, for a term not exceeding ninety (90) days; and for subsequent violations, a minimum penalty of one (1) month in jail and a maximum of two (2) years.\nHistory —Apr. 14, 1942, No. 32, p. 428, § 3, eff. 90 days after Apr. 14, 1942.
