The owner may construct the works and make the improvements of which the tenement in usufruct is susceptible, or new plantings, if the property is a farm, provided the same does not cause a diminution in the value of the usufruct nor prejudice the rights of the usufructuary.\nHistory —Civil Code, 1930, § 431.
