The usufructuary is obliged to notify the owner of any act of any third person, which may come to his knowledge and which may be prejudicial to the rights of ownership, and shall be liable, should he not do so, for the damages and injuries, as if they were caused by his own fault.\nHistory —Civil Code, 1930, § 439.
