Existing servitudes of the right-of-way for the passage of stock, and those for watering troughs, shall be governed by the ordinances and regulations relating thereto, and, in the absence thereof, by the uses and customs of the place.\nWhen it may be necessary to establish a forced servitude of the right-of-way or for a drinking trough for cattle, the provisions of this subchapter and of §§ 1714 and 1715 of this title shall be observed.
