The donee is subrogated to all the rights and actions which, in case of eviction, would correspond to the donor. The latter on his side is not obliged to warrant the things bestowed as a gift, unless the gift is for a valuable consideration, in which case the donor shall be liable for the eviction to the amount of the charge.\nHistory —Civil Code, 1930, § 580.
